The ’90s sitcomFriends has left quite an impression in the world of television, particularly the sitcom genre. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the NBC show went on to score 62 Emmy nods and six Emmy wins. In addition, Friends also received 10 Golden Globes nominations and one win.Throughout its 10-season run, Friends became a cultural phenomenon. More recently, the sitcom has also become one of the most-syndicated shows on television and in streaming services. 10. David Schwimmer Said The Cast Was Hesitant To Bond Initially
“The taping of the pilot was probably the first thing,” Schwimmer said during an appearance with the rest of the cast on The Oprah Winfrey Show. “The reality of the business is we don’t know if the pilot’s gonna be picked up, so everyone was keeping their distance and not really investing too much emotionally in the other people.”
Over the years, several shows have never made it past its pilot before getting axed for good. These include Heater Graham’s Emily’s Reasons Why Not and the NBC show Quarterlife.
